In September 2025 the Victoria Minister for Planning referred the Talbot Village project to the Priority Project Standing Advisory Committee. This follows a recently concluded call for and review of submissions on the proposed development. The Committee has been tasked to review issues arising from submissions.

Public Webinar: Future of the Former Talbot Quarry

On Thursday 15 May 2025, Sterling Global hosted a public webinar to share the latest information and engage with the community on the future of the former Talbot Quarry.

An open invitation was extended to local residents, stakeholders, and interested parties. During the one-hour session, participants had the opportunity to:

Hear an overview of the project vision and proposed land uses
Engage with planning and environmental experts and ask questions
Learn how to provide feedback during this important assessment stage, including how to lodge a formal submission to the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP)

The webinar attracted over 35 participants, with more than 20 questions answered live by our expert panel. Additional questions submitted during the event have been summarised and included in the [Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)] section of this webpage.
